What are Physical Threats?
- Internal: These threats encompass fire, unstable power supply, humidity in the rooms housing the hardware,Etc.
- External: These threats comprise lightning, floods, earthquakes, and so forth.
- Human: These threats involve theft, vandalism of infrastructure and/or hardware, disruptions, accidental or intentional errors.
The following list outlines potential measures that can be implemented:
Internal: To mitigate fire threats, automatic fire detectors and extinguishers that don't employ water can be utilized. Unstable power supply issues can be addressed with voltage controllers. Additionally, air conditioning systems can regulate humidity levels in the computer room.
External: Lightning protection systems can defend computer systems against such assaults, although they aren't foolproof. They do, however, reduce the likelihood of lightning-induced damage to some extent. Housing computer systems in elevated areas is one potential method for shielding them from floods.
Humans: To prevent threats like theft, locked doors and restricted access to computer rooms can be employed.
